Important Instructions

Registration

To audition for Portland Theatre Brigade you will need to sign-up in advance. This is very important as we have limited capacity at each audition. Even if we already know you want to audition, we need to know which date you will attend.

Choose one date to audition. To register for your audition please order a free "ticket" through this webpage. You can register up to three people at once but please only request one "ticket" per person.

If you know people without Internet access who want to audition, they can register by calling 971-506-9163, or you can help them sign up through this webpage.

Important note to 7-12 year-olds: The law says that kids under 13 can not give out their personal information over the Internet without their parent's permission. It is a good law that helps keep kids safe - please help us follow it, and have your parents help you to register for your audition.

Who Should Audition

• Your birthday is October 1995 through September 2003.
• You want to act on stage.
• You want to commit to a year-long program (September through June).

Returning members: If you were in Brigade before you will still need to re-audition for the 2010-2011 Brigade (unless you were made a Stage Manager). Please sign up on the website, bring a photo, and follow the same procedure as the new members.

Our auditions are currently scheduled at:

Tuesday, September 21st from 4-6pm

Curious Comedy Theater, 5225 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland

Thursday, September 23 from 4-6pm

Theater! Theatre, Arena Stage, 3430 SE Belmont St, Portland

Saturday, September 25st from 12-2pm

However, because these times and locations are still subject to change, it is very important you sign up with complete, current contact information. If anything changes we will contact you at the email address and/or phone number you provide. Please make sure we can reach you.

Attending the Audition

Wear very comfortable clothes that you can move in easily.

Bring a current photograph of yourself. It does not have to be a professional headshot but clearly look like you look on the day of the audition and clearly show your face. Please bring a copy you do not need, as it will not be returned.

Actors should arrive between 3:50 and 4pm. Parents/guardians are asked to stay for an Portland Theatre Brigade information session which will last no more than one hour. The auditions will end by 6pm.
